LLFP’s 1 year, hybrid experience is designed to help participants unlock the potential of exponentially-advancing technologies, such as artificial intelligence & robotics, digital biology, nanotechnology and computing systems, and collide that with the arts and culture to build societally beneficial and profitable new ideas.
From idea to innovation.
Throughout the program, fellows are exposed to the methods and mindsets for leveraging art and technology to create innovative social impact and are continually inspired to turn their ideas into feasible solutions.
The program will have only 6 fellows per class, each selected through a rigorous application process.

The Lewis Latimer Fellowship Program is seeking passionate, talented individuals who exhibit the following core attributes:
Empathy
The ability to viscerally and passionately understand the reality, experience, feelings, attitudes and beliefs of others.
Pattern Recognition
The ability to see a connection, spot a trend, surmise a correlation, discern a norm, an anomaly, or an outlier, and understand the relationship between similar or disparate things.

The Medici Effect
The Latimer Fellowship is inspired by The Medici Effect, a concept defined by Frans Johansson. The concept describes the increased likelihood of transformative innovation when ideas, disciplines and cultures are combined.
The Medicis were a very prominent and influential family in Florence, Italy, who brought sculptors, painters, philosophers, scientists and poets together. Their influence and patronage led to “a creative explosion that became one of the most innovative eras in history—the Renaissance.” Taking advantage of different perspectives, views and skills allows innovators to rapidly identify powerful niches, and combine good ideas to create great ones.
